GrC Student Advisory Board
As a Student Representative to the Graphic Communication Advisory Board, I was tasked with creating visuals for the GrC Student Council. The previous Student Representatives had a logo that needed work so I created one from scratch. Using Illustrator, I modified Cal Poly's official seal by incorporating GrC related symbols. Within the shield, I replaced the symbols with icons that represent one of the four GrC concentrations: Design Reproduction Technology, Web and Digital Media, Graphics for Packaging, and Graphic Communication Management. I also replaced "Discere Faciendo"—meaning "Learn by Doing" in Latin—with Adobe's default dummy text,  "Lorem Ipsum". The strands of wheat were replaced with pen tool icons and the dots with registration marks. The master file was created using paths which I later changed to outline so the seal could be used across various print outputs such as screen printing and stickers.

Above is the previous logo for the GrC Student Advisory Board which was then called Tribal Council. Out of respect of the Indigenous American community in San Luis Obispo County, the Graphic Communication Department agreed to discontinue the term "tribe" from all GrC marketing material.
