LEGO Kinetic Typography
Working in a team of three, we were tasked with the assignment of creating an informative video that incorporated kinetic typography. We unanimously picked LEGO as our subject matter not just because they're universally loved, but primarily because their simple form makes them versatile for animation. First we collaborated on writing a script based on our research of LEGO. Fortunately, we were able to find a plethora of archived footage to accompany our script which I narrated. We then used Adobe After Effects to compile the video by splicing and stitching the video in sync with the audio recording. To add life to the video, we added music, sound effects, and the animated text. Although we were granted a short turnaround time, I'm pleased with the final result's effectiveness of telling the story of LEGO.
